MCCULLOCH-NASH NUPTIALS.
Wednesday evening, Nov. 25th, at the home of the bride’s parents Mr. and Mrs. A. C. McCulloch occurred the marriage of their daughter Elsie to Alvin Nash, Rev. Williams officiating. The house was prettily decorated with flowers and plants.
Promptly at 6 o’clock to the strains of the wedding march played by Mrs. Robert W. Thomas the bridal party took their places under an arch of ferns where the nuptial knot was tied.
The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of white Crepe de Chine over silk of the same color and carried a bouquet of white roses and smilax.
The matron of honor Mrs. Stringfellow (nee Mayme Lacy) was dressed in white and carried white carnations.
Miss Florence Nash sister of the groom was bridesmaid and was dressed in pink and carried pink carnations. The bride's sister Thelma and Beryl Burns were ribbon girls.
The groom and best man were dressed in the conventional black.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to about sixty guests.
The young couple are both well known in Lime Springs and their popularity was proven by the numerous and costly presents given them. They will remain in Lime Springs during the winter.
Those from away who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. John Friend of Minneapolis, Mrs. Fred Lacy and daughter, Mrs. Stringfellow of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Porteous of So. Dak., the Misses Spencer of Le Roy, Minn., Mr. Trusdal, “Lon” Nash the groom’s father, of Spring Valley, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. George Friend of Bonair, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nash, and Miss Sadie Thomson of Cresco, and Alice Sheldon of Chicago. Misses Alice Sheldon and Sadie Thomson caught the bride’s bouquet.
