Wedding Anniversary.
Wednesday, Nov. 4th, was the 40th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Shumway, and it was made the occasion of a pleasant surprise by about fifty of their friends and neighbors. The evening was spent in playing games and with music. After refreshments were served, Mr. and Mrs. Shumway were presented with some beautiful pieces of silver. All present pronounced it a very pleasant event.
