Thursday last, the 9th, was the 36th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schaefer and to properly commemorate the event, a company of about thirty neighbors and friends gave them a pleasant surprise, spending a most enjoyable social evening, and presenting the couple with a purse as a slight token of the esteem in which they are held.
