Married.
On Tuesday morning, June 16th, at 8 o’clock, at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Ole Swenson, in Cresco, Iowa, occurred the marriage of Miss Mabel A. Swenson to Mr. Charles E. Marquis. Rev. John Gammons performed the cermony{sic}—the ring service being used—in the presence of a small company of relatives and intimate friends. The wedding march was played by the bride’s sister, Mrs. Etta Abbott.
The couple left on the 9:35 train following the ceremony on a wedding trip to various points of interest in the east with Chicago, New York and Boston in the itinerary.
Mr. Marquis is engaged in the banking business at Jefferson, Iowa, where they will be at home after August 1st. He is deservedly popular in his home town, but no more so than is the bride he has won, and the good wishes and congratulations of all her Cresco friends are theirs.
