Wedding Anniversary.
Thursday, Jan. 30th, was the 25th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Gessell, of Paris Township, and was the occasion of a complete surprise on the unsuspecting couple by a number of relatives, neighbors and friends. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lorence Falk, of Lamont, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Falk, of Locust, Ia., Mr. Jacob Falk and daughter, Ft. Atkinson, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. John Gessell, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Gessell and family, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Gross, all of Elma, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Gessell and family, of Maple Leaf, Mrs. C. P. Reis and family, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Derr and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Stender and family, all of Schley, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hening and family, of Saratoga.
The evening was very pleasantly spent for all concerned and Mr. and Mrs. Gesell were the recipients of several valuable presents.
