Married.
MCINTIRE-STINSON—At Hartman’s Lutheran church, Tuesday evening, Oct. 15th, Rev. J. Pless officiating, Mr. Clark C. McIntire with Miss Ella Stinson, all of Cresco.
Promptly at 7 o'clock to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march played by Miss Georgia Kellogg, the bridal couple took their places.
The bridal couple were attended by Miss Nellie Ferrel, a friend of the bride, and Leonard McIntire, brother of the groom. The bride and her maid wore white mohair dresses trimmed with escurial lace and silk braid, and the groom wore the conventional black.
The bride was born and raised in Cresco and has a host of friends here, while the groom is a prosperous barber and also has numerous friends.
After the ceremony, a reception was given at the hospitable home of J. C. Porter where the guests numbering 125 were entertained with dancing and feasting till the wee small hours In the morning. The newly married couple received a large number of handsome and costly presents.
Those who came from a distance to be present at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Alf. McCulloch and sons Carl and William, of Postville, cousins of the groom; Mrs. W. Williams and son Joseph, of Decorah, sister of the bride; Mrs. G. A. Renne and son Floyd, and Miss Florence McIntire, of Waterloo, sisters of the groom.
May their wedded life be as bright and sunshiny as was their wedding day is the wish of a host of friends who join in hearty congratulations to them.
