On Tuesday last, Oct. 8th, in Cresco, occurred the marriage of Wesley Tate and Mrs. Harriett Osland, Rev. W. R. Hill officiating. A peculiar feature of this marriage is that the groom is a negro with all the marked characteristics of that race, while the bride is of Norwegian parentage. Mr. Tate and his brother are residents of Chester township, where they settled a few years ago and are highly spoken of by their neighbors. The bride gave her residence as Le Roy, Minn.
