NICHOLS—HELLEWELL.
The first of the week Holt Nichols, who is one of the most efficient employes of the reclamation service here, tried to steal a march on the boys by asking for a short leave of absence. But the boys at the camp got wise and concluded his services were too valuable -to dispense with, even for a short vacation. Holt thinking the jig was up had to “ ’fess up,” after which his leave of absence was forthcoming. After due deliberation he and Miss Mary A. Hellewell took the train for Twin Falls, where they were made man and wife. They will return this evening and make their home on the lady’s claim north of town. Holt will continue in the employ of the reclamation service. The groom is known to almost every settler on the project and is a painstaking, fair-minded young man of more than ordinary ability. The bride is one of the project’s most amiable young ladies, and the community will receive them as man and wife with open arms. —Rupert, (Idaho) Gazette.
