Cedar Rapids, July 10.—The quiet marriage of Charles Theodore Millard of Cresco to Miss Dora Mae Rummell of Olin took place yesterday at noon at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. E. L. Simmons, 420 East Sixth street. Rev. W. H. Doner of Springville, a former pastor, officiated. Beside the bride’s sister’s family only a few intimate friends were present. Mrs. Isaac Arnsby and wife of Olin, Miss Alden of Wyoming and Mrs. Doner of Springville. After dinner was served, the bridal party took their departure on the 2:50 train for a visit at the home of the groom’s mother in Kansas City.
In about two weeks they expect to begin housekeeping in their own home in Cresco, which is one of the best in that city. Kind wishes of their many friends will accompany them to their new home.
Both parties are well known in Cresco and will find themselves located among many friends. Mr. Millard is a special insurance agent, doing a successful business in northeastern Iowa. For the last six years Miss Rummell has taught in Cresco, being principal of one of the city ward schools.—Cedar Rapids Gazette.
