MARRIED.
On Tuesday, Feb., 12, 1907, at St. Joseph’s church, Wesley, Iowa, occurred the marriage of Miss Rose Studer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Studer, of that place to Edward J. Ferrie, son of Wm. Ferrie of Cresco, Rev. Father Schilmoeler being the officiating clergyman.
The bridal couple were attended by Regina Ferrie and Anna Studer of bridesmaids and Clem Ferrie and Joe Lickteig as groomsmen.
The bride was beautifully gowned in silk chiffon over white silk, and the bridesmaids in white China silk. The groom and his attendants wore the conventional black.
Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the invited guests at the home of the parents of the bride, and a reception in the hall followed in the evening.
The young couple were the recipients of a fine array of presents, aggregating over $300 in value.
The groom is one of the county’s best young men, of good character and habits and industrious, and of that stamp of young manhood which makes a success of his undertakings.
The bride is a young lady of pleasant address, but comparatively a stranger to this section, although a short visit with relatives in this vicinity last summer made her many friend who speak of her and her accomplishments in unstinted terms.
The young couple have commenced housekeeping on the Novok farm southwest of Cresco, and the Plain Dealer joins with their many friends in well wishes for a long and prosperous wedded life.
