A Home Wedding.
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schafer, east of town, on Wednesday evening, January 29, 1907, occurred the marriage of their daughter Elzada, to Mr. Fred H. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Howard of Orleans.
At the hour of six to the strains of a wedding march played by Miss Sadie Watts, the contracting parties, accompanied by Ruth Schaefer, a sister of the bride as bridesmaid, and James Howard, a brother of the groom as best man, took their places and Rev. Gammons spoke the fateful words which united the lives of the happy couple.
Following the ceremony, refreshments were served to the assembled guests who numbered about thirty and were almost exclusively relatives of the bride and groom.
The young people are well and favorably known to a large circle of friends and acquaintances who wish them all manner of happiness and success in the journey through life which they have so auspiciously commenced together.
They will commence housekeeping soon on a farm a short distance from the homes of the parents.
