SMITH-KEMLER — At the home of the bride’s parents at Platteville, Wis., Tuesday, the 23rd inst, Mr. William Noble Smith with Miss Clara Kemler; Rev. Victor Brown officiating.
The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Kemler, is a graduate of the Platteville Normal School, class of 1902, and of the University of Wisconsin, ’04, and is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She taught in the Hazel Green High School, the past year.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lathrop E. Smith, 140 East Gorham Street, Madison, Wisconsin; was graduated from the collegiate course of the University of Wisconsin in 1897, and from the law department in 1900, then taking a course of post-graduate work in the sciences, specializing in geology and mineralogy. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and the legal fraternity of Phi Delta Phi. He is engaged in mining enterprises in the southwest Wisconsin lead and zinc district.
Their home will be at Galena, Ill. —Madison (Wis.) Journal, Oct. 27, 1906
