MARRIED.
Saturday, April 14, 1906, will be a memorable day in the family of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Everingham, for it was the occasion of the marriage of their daughters, Mabel and Bertha, to Mr. John M. Farnsworth and Mr. Philip G. Kratz respectively. At the appointed hour the bridal party appeared and Rev. C. P. Kirby received the vows of fidelity and pronounced them husbands and wives.
A large company of relatives and friends were present to share the happiness of the occasion and wish them much joy and prosperity through life. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received evidencing the high esteem in which the young people are held.
The brides are two of Howard county’s esteemed young ladies and for sometime have been successful school teachers. The grooms are among our most sturdy young farmers and their thrift augurs well for the future.
The out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Glass of Strawberry Point, Mrs. Mike Sterr and daughter from New Hampton, Mr. Wm. Cawelti of Alta Vista, Miss Lydia Kratz and Rolla Kratz of Ridgeway, Mrs. Chas. Glass and son from Ft. Atkinson, Mrs. W. J. Norton of Decorah, Mrs. A. A. Anderson and daughter of Manchester, Mrs. Arnold and son from Lawler, Mrs. A. R. McCook of Elma, Mrs. S. R. Walter and Mrs. M. Sharwood of Minneapolis.
