Silver Wedding Anniversary.
Twenty-five years ago, last Thursday, April 5th, occurred the marriage of Fred Dunneman and Anna Blumenrader, and to commemorate the event their home was invaded last Thursday evening by a jolly party of friends and neighbors bent on properly celebrating the event. The night was stormy, preventing many in the country from attending, but in spite of this over 70 were present, among them the following gentlemen and their families: Wm. Woellstein, F. C. Woellstein, P. H. Ricks, H. Vlebrock, B. Boyd, Chas. Goettel, John Schultz, Lee Bloomenrader, Andrew Smith, Andrew Stinger, H. Mackenburg, A. Mackenburg, Fred Bader, John Miller, D. Baldner, John F. Carroll, Jacob Baker, Joe Steinmetz, H. C. Moon, Carl Prinz, Christ Knoke, Wm. Klaffke C Thuerk, Ernest Bergman, Ed Dunneman, Guy Humphrey, Mesdames Gusta Mackenburg and Omach; Messrs. Fred H. Dunneman and Will Dunneman. In behalf of the assembled guests, Rev. Pless presented them with some elegant presents, consisting of a center table, rug, pictures, and a half dozen each of knives, forks and teaspoons. Full justice was accorded a sumptuous picnic supper, and a very pleasant evening was the verdict of everyone in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Dunneman were completely surprised and are deeply sensible of the sentiment and good will which prompted the happy gathering of their friends.
