Wedding Anniversary.
Last Thursday was the 25th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Vance and to commemorate the event, a number of friends planned a surprise on the unsuspecting couple —a genuine surprise too, for the first intimation that their home was to be invaded by their friends was that of an impromptu serenade played upon milk cans and cowbells by the company which had assembled in their door yard. The surprised couple yielded gracefully, however, and the company were made welcome to the ever hospitable home of the Vances. During the evening, a bountiful lunch was served and the couple were presented with a beautiful couch and. two beautiful rocking chairs. Among those contributing and present at this happy occasion were the following gentlemen and their wives: Walter Forry, Emil Reutlinger, John McDermott, C. W. Farnsworth, P.
