Estelle Mabry, of this place, and Fred H. Mintey, of North McGregor, were quietly married at Cresco, Tuesday morning, Aug. 15th, at 9 a. m. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. A. Marshall at the latter’s residence. The event was a complete surprise to everyone m Elma including the relatives of the bride. They returned to Elma, Tuesday, to receive congratulations and prepare to start for North McGregor, where, we presume, they intend to make their future home. The bride is well known here, having grown to womanhood in this community. For the past few years she has been assistant postmistress at this place, filling the position acceptably This is the first time she ever ran away with any of the ”male.”—Elma New Era.
