On Monday, July 17th, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Blackburn celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, assisted by their children, most of their grand-children and two great grandchildren. The house was beautifully decorated with ferns and cut flowers, white and yellow predominating. Dinner was served on tables placed under trees on the lawn at which thirty-one members of the family were seated. Numerous presents were presented by the family and congratulations and flowers were sent in by friends. Altogether the occasion was one to be remembered by all present, and the wish of their many friends is that the remaining days of their life may be filled with happiness.
Among those from a distance that were here to attend the golden wedding of T. S. Blackburn and wife were: James Blackburn and wife and son, Ray, of Royal, Neb., Mrs. E. H. Jones and son, of Weyauwega, Wis., E. J. McQuatters, wife and children, of Northwood, Ia., Mrs. L. C. Schorr, of White Rock, S. D.
