MARRIED.
MCCORMICK—WEBSTER—At the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Orpha Webster, in Cresco, Saturday evening, June 24, 1905, by Rev. John Gammons, Mr. James McCormick and Miss Nina Webster.
At the appointed hour for the ceremony, 8 o’clock, the bridal party entered the beautifully decorated parlor to the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Alta White. The bridal couple were attended by Miss Ida Sanborn as bride’s maid and Mr. Fred Blair, of Mason City, as best man. The bride was given away by her uncle, Emory White. Following the ceremony refreshments were served to the invited guests.
The groom is quite well and favorably known to Cresco people, having been recently one of the proprietors of the Times, but now engaged with his brother in the publication of the Republican at Albia, Iowa. Mr. McCormick is a young man of character and ability, well worthy of the refined and cultured young lady he has won for his bride.
The bridal couple leave this morning for their future home, followed by the good wishes of all their Cresco friends. Later they will leave on an extended trip to Colorado and the west.
