To Wed at Cresco.
Next Wednesday, June 7, 1905, at Cresco, Iowa, the marrage{sic} of Mr. John A. Klein, formerly of Calmar, to Miss Agnes Glass, of Cresco, will take place at the church of the Assumption. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Glass; she is a refined young lady and is in every way well qualified to make the man of her choice a dutiful and loving wife. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Amandus Klein of Calmar and a brother of M. J. and F. J. of this city. He is an exemplary young man to whom any young lady might tie to with assurance, and possesses sufficient business ability to provide well for the choice of his heart, a fact we can vouch for, having known him for many years. May their voyage o’er life's sea be replete with bliss is the wish of the Bee. —Ossian Bee.Source: Twice-A-Week Plain Dealer June 9, 1905, FP, C7
Married.
KLEIN-GLASS.
Wednesday morning at nine o’clock, the church of the Assumption was the scene of a very pretty wedding when Miss Agnes Glass and Mr. John A. Klein were united in holy marriage, Rev. M. A. McCartey officiating.
The bride was tastefully gowned in white silk mull over white taffeta. She was attended by Miss Margaret O’Malley as maid of honor and Miss Angela Lyons. Miss O’Malley wore a becoming gown of blue silk and Miss Lyons was beautifully dressed in white rose net over white. The groom was attended by James Glass and Joe Klein, they being dressed in the conventional black.
After the ceremony the wedding party returned to the home of the bride where a bountiful breakfast was served to abuot{sic} 50 relatives and friends.
Of Mr. and Mrs. Klein we cannot speak too highly, The bride has grown to womanhood here, and for the past few years has been one of the county 's successsul{sic} teachers, making warm friends for herself everywhere. The groom has been a resident of our city for the past three years and has been associated with his brother-in-law, John Cannon, in the real estate business, and has proven himself to be an enterprising young business man.
Mr. and Mrs. Kline expect to go to housekeeping soon in the Mrs. Strother cottage on Oak Street. They were the recipients of many beautiful presents, indicative of the esteem in which the young couple are held.
The PLAIN DEALER joins with a host of friends in the heartiest of congratulations and best wishes.
