The farm home of J. H. Logsden, west of Cresco, was the scene of a pretty but unostentatious wedding Wednesday afternoon at five o’clock when his daughter Estella M. was united in marriage to Mr. J. J. Rosa, of Ossian, before a company of relatives and friends, made smaller than was anticipated by the inclement weather which prevented many from a distance from attending. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. A. Eakin. Following the ceremony, the assembled guests sat down to a bounteous feast. Numerous fine presents were given the happy couple. The couple will reside on the groom’s farm near Ossian, Iowa.Source: Twice-A-Week Plain Dealer Feb. 21, 1905, FP, C4
J. J. Rosa, living in Military township, was in a sweat here last Wednesday notwithstanding the cold weather. He was snowbound here while on his way to Cresco to be married. It was nearly noon of his wedding day before he left Calmar, and had the preliminaries such as securing the license, seeing the minister, etc, yet to see to. He telephoned his fiance that he had not gone back on her although there was considerable coldness between them. As we heard nothing to the contrary we presume he got there in time
