Married.
At the Lutheran church at Davis Corners, Oct. 2nd, at 3 o’clock p. m., Mr. Arthur F. Hilkie and Miss Martha A. Maronde, Rev. Neidermeier officiating, Miss Amanda Luidtke cousin of the bride and Miss Nellie Hilkie sister of the groom acted as bride’s-maids, and Mr. Lou Maronde brother of the bride and Mr. Fred Yagts a nephew of the groom acted as groom’s-men.
The bride was arrayed in castor colored satin with pink and white trimmings, the bride’s-maids were dressed in white with also pink trimmings, the groom wore conventional black.
The church was nicely decorated with evergreen and with pink and white roses. After the ceremony a bounteous supper was served at the bride’s home and the rest of the evening was spent in merrymaking and dancing until an early hour in the morning. The music was furnished by Mead’s orchestra from Cresco. The young couple received many large and costly presents and they will go to housekeeping as soon as possible.
May their newly wedded life be full of joy and happiness is the wish of their many friends.
