Married.
MEYER—HEROLD—AT the German Catholic church, Cresco, Iowa, May 7th, 1901, by Rev. Loosebrock. Mr. Joseph Meyer and Miss Sophia M. Herold.
Nuptial high mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s church at 10 o’clock a. m., the bridal couple being attended by Philip Herold and Maggie Meyer and by Joseph Herold and Clara Herold, of Ionia, la.
The groom is the son of John Meyer living northwest of town and the bride a daughter of P. M. Herold of New Oregon twp., and in their marriage are united two of our most respected German families.
After the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the home of the bride’s parents where ample provisions had been made for their entertainment and where the guests enjoyed themselves until a late hour in feasting, dancing and merry-making, in keeping with the happy event.
The happy couple will commence housekeeping at once on the J. G. Wollung farm. The PEE DEE extends its heartiest congratulations and best wishes for health and prosperity.
