Census of Howard County.
The Complete Report of this County, giving population by towns and townships for 1890 and 1900.
We are enabled to give the complete census of the population of the county according to the census of 1900. The population is also given for 1890, showing a net increase in the county of 3,240, Every township in the county except Albion has made an increase, in that town there has been a loss of 53. The marked gain in any township of its rural population is Chester which has made a gain of 231. In Jamestown the gain has been greater but a large part of the increase has been made in the village of Riceville. In Cresco the population of its three wards vary but little the second ward containing the most people. Howard county has a right to feel quite comfortable. Thank you.
