The Norwegian Lutheran Church in Cresco was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 21st, in which the principals were Miss Jennie Rosalia Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Thompson, and Dr. Lars Alfred Dahl, of Stanley, Wis., the ceremony being performed by the father of the groom, Rev. A. L. Dahl, of Mt. Morris, Wisconsin. The bridal couple were attended by Prof. Hoffstad, of Wisconsin, Rev. Hartman, of Cresco and the Misses Bertha Dahl and Gertie Thompson, sisters of the groom and bride respectively.
The groom is a graduate of St. Olaf’s College, Minn., and of the Milwaukee Medical College, from which he recently graduated with the highest honors, after completing a three year course in two years. The bride has been raised to womanhood in our city and has a host of friends who regret her departure but wish her every happiness in her new relations.
The happy couple left the same evening for Madison, Wis, and other Wisconsin points. A reception in their honor will be held this evening at the home of the groom’s parents, after which they will leave for Stanley, Wis, where the groom already enjoys a lucrative practice.
Those from a distance attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bjerleid and daughter Helen, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Hopperstad, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Tarvestad, Mr. O. C. Johnson and daughter Clara, all of Decorah; Mrs. Sanderson of Harmony, Minn., Mrs. Onsted, of Northfield, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Torsen, of Hesper, Iowa, and Miss Langland of Carlisle, Minn.
