A Holiday Wedding.
Whe{sic} ringing of wedding bells occurred In Chester Wednesday evening when Mr. C. T. McWilliams and Miss Edna Courtney were united in the holy bonds of wedlock at the pleasant home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Courtney.
The sacred bond was sealed by Rev. J. A. Caffyn, pastor of the Methodist church, the service being a very pretty one.
The bride is one of Chester’s favorite daughters and has spent her life here among the surroundings of her childhood. She has not an enemy that we have ever heard of, while her devoted friends are legion and all who know her unite in the opinon{sic} that the young husband has won a jewel more precious by far than the diadem of royalty.
The groom is one of our leading young business men, the proprietor of Chester’s only drug store and a graduate pharmacist. He has a splendid start in life and with his good business ability will make a success of the financial part of life. He is popular in the social circle and has been a valuable addition to Chester’s citizenship since engaging in business here.
Mr. and Mrs. McWilliams departed on the evening train, going presumably to Lacrosse, Wis., to visit a friend of the groom’s, and from there to other points; upon finishing their honeymoon trip they will return to Chester to occupy the rooms above the drug store and, in the words of the closing chapter of the love story, to live happily forever afterward.—Chester Herald.
