MARRIED.
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Garrett was the scene of a simple but beautiful wedding Thanksgiving evening, when their daughter, Miss Mamie Garrett, became the wife of De Witt Haven: of Lime Springs. Rev. J. A. Eakin read the vows, received the troth plight, and made the pronouncement, using the beautiful ring ceremony. Only immediate relatives of the contracting parties and a few personal friends of the bride were present to witness the interesting ceremony. Miss Garrett, now Mrs. Haven is a most lovable young woman and a lady of high attainments and exceptional worth. She has a host of friends in town who will regret her departure, but who will be pleased to know that her home is to be so near.
Mr. Haven is said to be a model young man and well worthy of the fair bride he has won.
The young couple departed on the same evening for Chicago where they visit a brother of the bride, Jas. D. Garrett and family. From there they go to Elgin, Ill., to visit a sister of the bride, Mrs. C. H. Lobdell and family.
Their future home will be in Lime Springs.—Republican.
