MARRIED.
CLEMMER—RATHERT — At the residence of the bride’s parents, in Cresco, Tuesday evening, September 22,1903, by the Rev. John Gammons, Dr. John J. Clemmer, of Marshallton, Iowa, and Miss Maude Mae Rathert, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Rathert.
The bride and groom were born in this city and have grown to maturity in our midst, where both have and deserve hosts of warm friends. Both are graduates of our high school. The bride is one of the most beautiful and amiable ladies of Howard County and will be for Dr. Clemmer just such a help meet as he merits.
The couple were generously remembered by their friends with a large number of valuable and useful wedding presents. The wedding march was softly and sweetly played by Miss Geneveive M. Dissmore. The bridal couple were attended by Fred Cole and Miss Hattie Beadle. The happy couple took the evening train for Marshalltown, where they will make their future home.
The PLAIN DEALER family congratulates them and commend them to the good people of Marshalltown as worthy of their confidence, respect and esteem.
