Married.
SIMONDS-LOMAS—At the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Lomas, in Cresco, Tuesday evening, July 7th, by Rev. V. E. Hall, of Ridgeway, Lieutenant George E. Simonds and Miss Minnie J. Lomas.
The bridal couple were attended by Miss Emma Dale as bridesmaid and Arthur J. Barker as best man. The floral decorations were superb, vines, plants and flowers being used in profusion. After the ceremony the guests were served with light refreshments, the bridal couple taking a carriage for Ridgeway where they remained till the day following when they departed for Fort Reno, Oklahoma, where the groom’s regiment is stationed.
Both of the contracting parties are young people of whom all Cresco are proud. Both are graduates of the Cresco High School, and are young people of culture and refinement. The groom is a graduate of West Point leaving there for the Philippines where he saw much actual service and was required to fill most responsible commands and received a merited promotion to a first lieutenancy. Since returning to the United States his batallion, of which he is now the adjutant, has been stationed at Ft Reno.
He is in every respect an honest upright and moral young man of more than ordinary mental attainments, and well worthy of the charming young lady he has won for his bride. May every blessing of health and happiness be theirs.

Rev. V. E. Hall and wife attended the wedding last Tuesday in Cresco of Mrs. Hall’s brother, Lieut. Geo. Simonds to Miss Minnie Lomas. The Lieutenant and wife spent one day in Ridgeway before returning to Fort Reno, where the Lieutenant is stationed.
