MARRIED.
On Tuesday evening, March 17th occured the marriage of Miss Bertha Sickle to W. E. Viebrock. The bride is the daughter of Lambert Sickle and wife, of this place, and has been engaged in teaching for the past three years. The groom is a young farmer from near Cresco. The ceremony was performed in the Union church which was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Emma Vogt acted as maid of honor, Addie Viebrock as bride’s maid and Vernie Sickle as best man. The bride wore a beautiful dress of white silk with white veil and roses. The groom wore conventional black. Rev. Braun conducted the usual impressive ceremony after which all repaired to the city hall where about 200 guests sat down to the bounteous wedding feast, after which the guests tripped the light fantastic toe till the wee small hours. They received many fine and useful presents as tokens of respect from their friends. Mr. and Mrs. Viebrock will leave for their new home this week and all join in wishing them all possible health, wealth and happiness.—Farmersburg, Ia. Correspondence to Elkader Argus.
