Triple Wedding,
At the church of Our Lady of Lourdes on Tuesday Nov. 18, 1902, occurred the triple marriage of John Conley to Kate Fogarty, John H. O’Brien to Mary McGruder and Frank Barnes to Mary Conry, Rev. J. J. Nelson officiating. To the best of our knowledge it was the first triple wedding in the history of Howard county. This fact and the prominence of the contracting parties rendered the occasion a most important one, the plans for which were commensurate to its importance. The church was beautifully decorated the new carpet had just been put down and other finishing touches to the interior were recently completed, making a picture almost as lovely as the brides in the blush of their nuptial vows. Father Nelson celebrated nuptial high mass.—North Iowa Democrat.
The PLAIN DEALER wishes for them a happy realization of all their fondest hopesTranscriber's Note: The bride's first name is different.
