Monday, March 3rd, was the 56th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Morse, and in commemoration of the event, a large party of friends and neighbors completely surprised them that evening at an early hour by taking possession of their home and spending several hours in social pleasantries and feasting. Several mementos of the occasion were presented the couple as a reminder of the esteem in which they were held by the donors.
