Double Wedding.
A very pretty double wedding occurred at the Evangelical Lutheran church in Cresco on Wednesday evening, Dec. 26, the contracting parties being Nels Megorden, of Le Roy, Minn., and Miss Kristi Lofthus, and Mr. A. O. Iverson of Lime Springs and Miss Aase Lofthus.
The ceremony occurred at 7:30 p.m., the ceremony being performed by the brides’ pastor, Rev. Otterson. The attendants were the Misses Lena Iverson and Lorena Amundson, and Messrs. Ole and Amund Lofthus, brothers of the brides.
Alter the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the Hotel Strother where a sumptuous repast was served.
Mr. Megorden is a druggist and jeweler of Le Roy, and after a wedding trip to Wisconsin, he and his bride will commence housekeeping, and will be “at home” after Jan. 15th.
Mr. and Mrs. Iverson will spend their honeymoon with relatives in Winnsheik{sic} county, after which they will commence housekeeping in Lime Springs, where the groom is already established in business. The PLAIN DEALER congratulates the couples and wishes them success in all their future life.
