There was a very pleasant surprise party at Mr. Fred Nichols Thursday night, Dec, 1. It was the twelfth anniversary of their wedding day, about forty of friends gathered there, taking refreshments and presenting them with a handsome parlor lamp. Mr. J F. Shutt made the presentation speech in a most happy manner voicing all those in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Nichols many years of prosperity and happy usefulness.
