Iowa Plain Dealer October 28, 1898, LP, C4

THOMSON-OWENS—At the Catholic church in Cresco, Iowa, Thursday, October 27, 1898, by the Rev. Father McCarthy, Mr. Frederick Miller Thomson and Miss Mary Helena Owens ail of Howard county.
The bride is one of Cresco’s most worthy women, industrious, frugal and sensible. The groom is from the state of New York, came here last spring to take charge of the Miner Creek cheese factory for Mr. Kellow. He came well recommended and is no doubt worthy of the wife he has won. The PLAIN DEALER heatily{sic} unites with their many friends in wishing them an abundance of the good things of this world, the best of which is health and happiness. We understand they will make their home in Nevada, Iowa.
