GAGER—JONES—On Tuesday evening, August 30, 1898, a company of relatives and friends of the contracting parties, gathered at the home of Mr. B. F. Laidlaw in this city, to witness the marriage of Lorenzo D. Gager and Winnie L. Jones. Promptly at five o’clock Rev. F. P. Shaffer read the the{sic} beautiful marriage service of the Methodist church, pronouncing them man and wife. After which all partook of the bountiful wedding supper. A number of useful presents were bestowed upon the young couple to start them in house keeping. May their lives be prosperous and happy.
