Iowa Plain Dealer July 29, 1898, FP, C4

Married.
LOWRY—BURKE—On Sunday, July 10, 1898, in the Episcopal church at Ottumwa, Iowa, by Rev. J. Hollister Lynch, D. D., Mr. Fred B. Lowry of this place, and Miss Lola Burke, of Ottumwa.
The wedding was private, only a few relatives being present. The happy couple returned to Cresco the first of the week, after a short trip to various points in Iowa, and immediately went to housekeeping in the C. F. Miller house on west High street, which had been furnished ready for immediate occupation.
The groom is one of Cresco’s best young men, born and raised and educated in Cresco, and the manager of his father’s drug establishment{sic}, and the bride is well and favorably known to our people, for several years having been a valued teacher in our public schools.
The PLAIN DEALER wishes the worthy young couple, health and happiness, for with them success will come, and hopes their wedded life may be one long and continual honeymoon.
