Church-Johnstone Marriage.
AD event in Cresco society which has been expected for some time, occured{sic} on Tuesday evening, March 20, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Lomas in this city. The neat invitations, which had flown through our community and abroad, brought together a company of intimate friends and relatives to witness the marriage of Mr. Gaius Winsor Church and Miss Isabella Johnstone.
Promptly at 8 o’clock, the words that joined this estimable couple in Holy Wedlock was spoken by Rev. Frank P. Shaffer of the Methodist church. After congratulations the company were ushered into the dining room to partake of refreshments. The table was tastefully decorated with smilax and beautiful flowers.
The many presents were elegant and useful: reflecting good taste upon the part of the donors.
Mr. and Mrs. Church will immediately go to house keeping on the farm of the groom, just south of town.
