Mated for Life.
At Waltham, Mower county Minn., June 16, 1897, by the Rev. Mr. Milius, Frebert Heinecke of Howard county, and Miss Bertha Baumgartner of Mower county
On Wednesday the 23rd of June was set apart for a gathering of the friends of the married couple to meet at their Heinecke home in Howard Center. The forenoon of the day was over-shaddowed{sic} by a heavy fall of rain continuing until about the hour of noon. Arrangements had been made for a gala day for old and young. A bowery with a fine floor had been prepared, music secured and a feast of good things provided for enjoyment and pleasure of their friends. When the storm cleared away the people began to arrive and continued to come during the afternoon and evening the merry making and the dancing continuing until near the hour of midnight. At about five o’clock a most bountiful supper abounding in the most tempting and appetizing viands was served to some two hundred or more persons. A large number of the friends and relatives of the bride were present from Minnesota. In the large number of useful and valuable wedding presents given them was evidence not only of the liberal generosity of their friends but of the high personal esteem in which they were held.
