1877 Wm H Ferrie 1897.
February 5, 1877, Wm. H. Ferric and Miss Margaret Konzen were united in marriage and located where they now reside, in New Oregon township. In commemoration of the return of that anniversary about sixty of their neighbors and friends met in the afternoon, and about ninety in the evening, closing the happy occasion with a social dance.
Their guests not only made Mr. and Mrs. Ferrie suitable and valuable presents but came equipped with ample provisions for a royal entertainment and wedding feast. The presentation of the presents was made in appropriate words by Geo. W. Hollister, responded to by with words and tones of thankfulness for the friendship and esteem which had prompted their remembrance from Mr. Ferrie.
