A Golden Wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kellow, Sr., celebrated their golden wedding on Monday evening last, with all their children in attendance, viz: Wm. Jr. Samuel It., Joseph C.. Mrs. E. A. Young, of St. Paul, and Mrs. John Blackburn of this place.
Wm. Kellow, Sr., was born in Medrose, England, in 1822, and his wife, whose maiden name was Maria Rawle, was born in the same county in 1820. They were married at Boscastle, Eng., Dec: 1st, 1815, coming to the United States in 1858 and to this county in 1850. In their lives here they have proven themselves worthy of the esteem in which they are held, having always been active promoters of 411 that tends to make mankind better, and the world a paradise. The sum of $25 in gold pieces was presented to them, their son Joseph C. Kellow, of Riceville, making an eloquent presentation speech. Coming as it did, from the heart of the speaker, it met a hearty and generous response from all the members of the family, which represents four generations, father and mother, their children, grand children and one great grand child.
