Stander-Telford Wedding.
Today, Wednesday, Nov 18, at high noon, occurred the marriage of Miss Alice Telford, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Telford, near Burr Oak, to Gordon H. Stander, of Cresco.
The ceremony took place at the home of the bride’s parents. Miss Iowa Telford was the bride’s only attendant, and a brother of the groom officiated as best man.
The young people will make their home on a farm near Cresco, recently purchased by Mr. Stander.
The groom spent most of his life in the vicinity of Cresco, where he is successfully engaged in farming, and has won the respect of all who know him.
His chosen bride is well known in Decorah, having made this her home for several years. She has a wide circle of friends here, won by her engaging manner and beautiful character. The writer joins with all these in best wishes and congratulations.—Decorah Journal.
