A June Wedding.
At ten o’clock on Tuesday, June 23rd in the Holy Trinity Church at Protivin, Iowa, occurred the marriage of Joseph £. Soukup and Albina A. Pecinovsky. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Pecinovsky, and she is highly praised as a teacher, having taught a number of terms in Howard County. The groom is from near Ridgeway and is known as one of the good farmers.
The bride and groom were attended by the bride’s sister, Frances Pecinovsky, and the groom’s sister, Otilla Soukup, while the best men were James Soukup, brother of the groom, and Frank Mondry, cousin of the bride. The bride was dressed in a very pretty white net dress and wore a veil and carried a large bouquet of bride’s roses while the bridesmaids wore dresses of shadow lace and trimmed with pale blue and also carried roses. The groom wore a pretty, blue serge suit.
The ceremony was performed by Rev, R. Lakomy. and after the ceremony they all went to the home of the bride’s parents where the reception was held to a few relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Soukup will live on a farm about two miles west of Ridgeway. We wish this young couple a long and happy married life.
A FRIEND.
