A host of interested friends and a number of relatives witnessed the marriage of Miss Anna Mae Linehan to Mr J. Urban Lyons of Cresco, Iowa, solemnized at St. Patrick’s church at nine o'clock Wednesday morning. Father John Murtagh of Cresco was celebrant of the nuptial mass and officiated at the marriage ceremony.
The bridal party entered the church during the rendition of Mendelssohn's wedding march upon organ and violin, and the bride and groom knelt within in the sanctuary during the plighting of their troths.
The bride was lovely in a gown of white charmeuse with court train, the bodice fashioned of real lace. The bridal veil of silk net fell to the hem of her gown and was arranged with a coronet of orange blossoms. An arm boquet of gardenias, with a shower of lillies of the valley completed an unusually beautiful toilette. There were no attendants, and Mr. Will Molo and Mr. Collins Clifford served as ushers.
The subsequent wedding reception and breakfast was held at the home of the bride’s mother, 1556 Washington street, where the immediate relatives and a few intimate friends were present. A basket of bride’s roses occupied the center of each of the small tables at which the guests were seated and crystal candelabras with green shaded candles reflected the color note of green and white.
