The wedding bells will ring the 22nd for John Vojik and Emma Lukes, and for W. Kadlec and Emma Hladek one week later, Also Fr. Snapek and Mary Prochaska the same day. The {sic} The first couple will live three miles out of town; he is a farmer, his father came to Iowa in 1854; the bride is the youngest daughter of F. Lukes who came the same year. Mr. Snapek’s home is at Manley Junction, Iowa. Mr. Kadlec is our butter maker and if he is as good husband as he is a buttermaker, he’ll do.
