MARRIED.

GIBBONS—McGINNESS.—At the residence of the bride’s parents, in Saratoga, March 25th, 1886, by the Rev. J. A. Brown, Mr. T. J. Gibbons, Jr., and Miss Ida M. McGinness.

WEDDING RECEPTION.

On Thursday, March 25th, 1886, at 12 o’clock, over fifty persons witnessed the marriage of Mr. Thos. J. Gibbons and Miss Ida M. McGinness by the Rev. J. A. Brown, at the residence of the bride’s parents in Saratoga township, Howard county, Iowa. Undoubtedly this was one of the most brilliant and largest attended weddings that has occurred in the township for a number of years.

The groom has been a resident of this place ever since a mere boy, and all who are acquainted with him unite in pronouncing him an honest, straight-forward, intelligent young man, always occupying the loftiest position in society and continually deploring the sunny side of life. He is also devoid of all the disgraceful habits which characterize the majority of our young men.

The bride is a highly esteemed and respected young lady. As a teacher she has fulfilled the position satisfactorily to both pupils and parents.

If the good wishes bestowed upon them are of any avail their life will certainly be a long, happy and peaceful one.
