Bradley Chapin and Wife's Tin Wedding.

In response to invitations issued, the spacious residence of Mr. Chapin and wife was literally packed with guests who came to help celebrate the tenth anniversary of their Marriage, on last Saturday evening. The list of presents was large and for a tin wedding, various and curious. Besides all the useful articles of tin-ware there were for both a nice pair of tin slippers, a coat of mail for Mr. Chapin, a tin cane, a Military cap and feather, a tin fan for Mrs.Chapin, a tin watch for each, but the dial on that of Mrs. Chapin had the figures reversed from their usual order. Among the guests present we noticed many making a raid on the commissary department of the Chapin residence, who recently made a raid on his place of business. Does this signify that these persons are hypocrites in their profession, or does it mean that the promised time when the lamb and lion shall lie down together has come? Surely their presence must indicate that the "era of good feeling" has come: that their mission is accomplished; that with the immortal Pope they are ready to exclaim:

"Whatever is, is right."
