C. M. Montague
The Democratic candidate for Auditor is a member of one of the pioneer families of Howard County, his parents settling in Howard County just fifty years ago, consequently he is a Howard county boy, born, bred and educated, and for several years past he has been engaged in merchandising at Lourdes. A few years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Valvoda, a member of one of the prominent Bohemian families of the county. Mr. Montague Is excellently qualified for the office of auditor, being a fine penman and with the thorough knowledge of business methods necessary to the successful occupancy of the auditorship. For several years, In Minneapolis, he held positions of trust and responsibility for business firms where careful handling of funds and accounts were of prime consideration, and filled them with complete satisfaction to his employers.
He is making a thorough canvass of the county, being greatly encouraged to do so by the spontaneous offers of support by the republicans of his locality—those who know him the best and know his ability and worth.
Mark the square in front of his name on the official ballot and you will make no mistake.

Mr. and Mrs. Clem. Montague, of Lourdes, have a little son born to them on Sunday, Sept 23rd. This interesting event has delayed Mr, Montague somewhat in his canvass for the Auditorship, but his friends I about the county may expect to meet him during the next month.
