Death Takes Harry Carper

Harry Loyd Carper, 82, of 204 N. White St., died about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. The son of Samuel W. and Catherine (Roth) Carper, he was born October, 26, 1885 in Henry County near Trenton. He was a lifelong resident of Henry county and Mt. Pleasant.
On February 16, 1910 in Henry County he was married to Edith Anna Bates, who predeceased him October 27, 1951. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Miller of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Simmons of Fairfield, Mrs. Beulah Kerr of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Vera Williams of Trenton, and one brother, Walter Carper of Winfield.Three brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m.at the Crane, Ewart, Young Funeral Home. Rev. C. Dendy Garrett will officiate.
Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Crane, Ewart, Young, Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m.
