Paul Heater

Paul Edward Heater, 68, of rural Danville, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Nov. 6, 1920, in Lowell; he was the son of Harold and Lillian Morgan Heater. He married Ethel Pforts June 28, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo.

He was a farmer and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 7641, New London, and the Farm Bureau.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Lucinda Edmunds, Carman, Ill.; three sons, Eugene Heater and Edward Heater, both of New London, and Howard Heater, Danville; three brothers, Justus Heater, Burlington, Gilbert Heater, Waco, Texas, and Dale Heater, Morning Sun; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Rhodes, Burlington, Mrs. Mary Duke, Danville, and Mrs. Ida Morrow, Wever; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Elliot Chapel, New London.
The service for Mr. Heater will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Elliot Chapel, New London, with the Rev. Gordon McMillan officiating. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery.
