Relatives here received word Friday of the death of Mr. Asbury Jay of Mt. Pleasant. He was 89 years of age. The funeral was held Sunday in Mt. Pleasant with interment in Lambert [sic-Lambirth] cemetery. He was the brother-in-law of Mrs. E.B. Litton, Mrs. Jane Elliott, D.S. Barton and also Mrs. Sade Stewart of Lockridge.
